This Privacy Policy describes how Delhi Metro Route (“the App”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our Android application and related materials published by eRevolutions India.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the Delhi Metro Route Android app and this marketing / policy website. The App is a journey planning utility: core route planning uses data bundled inside the app and can work without a user account. Optional features use the internet when you request them (for example live routes or place search).

2. Information processed on your device

The App may process the following locally on your device:

• Station & network data: bundled metro topology, fares, and station names used for offline routing and search.
• Your inputs: FROM/TO selections, recent searches, and preferences stored with the app (for example via on-device storage APIs).
• Caches: optional copies of API responses (for example route results) to improve offline reuse, stored in app-private storage.
• Place search cache: if you use address/landmark search, the App may cache geocoding results and resolved nearest-station mappings locally to reduce repeat requests.

We do not sell your personal information. The App is not an advertising platform and does not build third‑party ad profiles from your journey inputs.

3. Information sent over the internet (optional)

When you are online and use certain features, the App may transmit limited data to third‑party services:

• Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) backend (backend.delhimetrorail.com) — to fetch official station lists / route results when you use refresh or related flows. Requests are tied to station identifiers derived from your chosen stations, not a personal account in the App.
• OpenStreetMap Nominatim (nominatim.openstreetmap.org) — when you search for a place/address to find coordinates and the nearest metro. Your search query is sent according to Nominatim’s usage policy; we include an identifying User-Agent string.

Those services process data under their own policies. This Privacy Policy does not control DMRC, OpenStreetMap, or hosting providers.

4. Permissions & device capabilities

To provide features, the App may request OS permissions such as:

• Internet / network access — for optional live routes, station code lookup, place search, and connectivity awareness.
• Access network state (where applicable) — to show online/offline hints in the UI.

You can review or revoke permissions in Android Settings. Revoking network access will limit online refresh and place search.

5. Google Play & essential service providers

When you install or update the App from Google Play, Google processes certain information under Google’s policies (for example app delivery, Play integrity, crash reporting if enabled by your device/Play settings).

6. Security

We design the App to keep routine journey planning data on your device and to use standard HTTPS for optional network calls. Protect your device with a screen lock; treat the App like any travel tool — verify critical travel decisions with official sources when needed.

7. Retention & deletion (summary)

Clearing app data or uninstalling the App typically removes local application storage, subject to your device manufacturer’s behaviour. Cached API or place-search data is removed with app data unless you have copies outside the App.

8. Your privacy rights

Privacy rights vary by jurisdiction. You may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal information, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

9. Legal bases (EEA / UK)

Where the GDPR / UK GDPR applies, we process personal data as necessary to provide the App you install, based on performance of a contract / steps prior to contract, legitimate interests (such as security and support you initiate), consent where required (such as optional network features), and legal obligations where applicable.

10. International transfers

On-device processing occurs on your phone. If you email us for support, that information may be processed in India or other locations where we operate. Network calls to DMRC or Nominatim may route through infrastructure in various regions according to those operators.

11. Children

The App is a general-purpose transit planner. It is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction).

12. California (CPRA) — summary

California residents may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not “sell” personal information in the conventional sense through this App. Submit requests via contact@erevolutionsindia.com.

13. India (DPDPA)

Where India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 applies, we process personal data in line with applicable law and handle grievances through the contact above where required.

14. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. If required by law, we will provide additional notice for material changes.
