Data retention

What the App keeps on your phone, how long it typically lasts, and how you can remove it.

Effective 29 March 2026 · Last updated 29 March 2026

Delhi Metro Route stores most information on your Android device (app-private storage). There is no cloud login required for core journey planning.

Support: contact@erevolutionsindia.com

1. Data retained on your device

Typical categories include:

  • Bundled network dataset — ships with the app; updated when you install a new version from the store.
  • Recent route searches — a short list of FROM/TO pairs you used recently, for quick reuse.
  • Route response cache — optional cached DMRC (or similar) API responses keyed by journey and route type, so repeat lookups can work offline.
  • Station code map cache — optional cache of official station code mappings fetched during an online session.
  • Place search cache — geocoded coordinates and nearest-station resolutions for queries you searched, stored to reduce repeat calls to Nominatim.

2. How long we keep it

On-device data remains until you clear it, the App overwrites it (for example a bounded recent list), or you uninstall / clear app data. We do not operate a central database of your journeys tied to an account inside this App.

Exact limits (for example maximum number of recent searches) may vary by app version.

3. Server-side data

When you call DMRC or Nominatim servers, those operators may log requests under their own retention practices. eRevolutions India does not receive your journey history in a personal account database solely from normal use of the App.

4. How to delete data

On-device app data (recommended)

  • Android Settings → Apps → Delhi Metro Route → Storage → Clear data (wording may vary). This typically removes app-private storage including caches and recent searches.
  • Uninstall the App — usually removes application data from the device, subject to your manufacturer’s implementation.

Clearing data does not erase information already logged by third-party networks you contacted (for example during an online route refresh).

5. Support email

If you email contact@erevolutionsindia.com, we retain your message and replies only as long as needed to assist you and for legitimate business or legal purposes, then delete or archive according to internal procedures.

6. Changes

We may update this page when the App’s storage behaviour changes. Check the “Last updated” date above.
